Covid-19
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions there is a level of uncertainty about if you can make your trip with us this year. We are offering our clients to reschedule the trip ether later this year or the following year as availability allows. Any payments towards your trip we will offer you a 100% credit valid for up to 3 years.
Booking & Deposits
Payment must be made in full, in Advance via bank transfer or credit card.
A minimum payment of 50% must be made on confirmation and for the remaining payment we are flexible.
All booking with long notice must be paid in full before the trip.
If you have a special requests for how the payment terms should be dictated please let us know and we will try to meet your needs.
Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds on fishing permits will only be given in the unlikely event of a cancellation by us due to unsafe condition or other deciding factors unless they can be resold.
Refunds on guiding and accommodations are given if the cancellation is more than 90 days prior to the trip.
If you book online it is your responsibility to to check that you have the right dates although we will do your best to be flexible in the event of a misunderstanding.
Newsletter
By booking you are accepting us sending you a newsletter, which you can unsubscribe to after the first one.
Photos from the trip
All photos from the trip belong to Iceland Fishing Guide and we might use them in publicity purposes. We will send you an album from the trip if you desire.
Sustainable Fishing Policies
You are obligated to obey the rules of fishing in Iceland as well as specialised rules set by each river manager. The rules might be limited keep of catch per day or catch & release, tackle rules & fishing times. You should read about any rules in the lake or river you intend to visit on our website before booking so you are familiar with them. If you are unsure of the rules please ask your guide to inform you of all the rules before starting fishing.
Terms & Conditions
You must pay for any damage you cause to any rods and reels that you damage or lose, even if accidentally.
You are not liable for any normal wear and tear or gear failures, such as reels jamming or rods breaking when the rod to line angle is greater than 90 degrees. Rods do occasionally break when used improperly, and we can advise you on this if you are unsure, so please just ask.
You enter every river on your own responsibility and we can not be held liable for injuries sustained while on the trip so at any point if you feel unsure about doing something please tell your guide and he will take you to another spot.
We are insured for injuries in car accident or other vehicles that might come up during your trip.
Limitation of liability
Notwithstanding anything else expressed or implied in these terms and except where a statute requires otherwise, Iceland Fishing Guide shall not be liable whether in contract, tort or otherwise for:
(a) any injury to persons or damage to property; or
(b) any direct, indirect, consequential, financial or economic loss or damage to property arising out of any act or omission of Iceland Fishing Guide.
On booking with Iceland Fishing Guide the Customer shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these terms, conditions and policies.
Iceland Fishing Guide reserves the right to review and change these terms, conditions and policies at any time.
