The fishing season formally starts the 1st of April.
There are quite a few options for spring fishing in Iceland.
Litlaá is one of the destinations that opens April 1st and the fishing is for trophy arctic char, sea trout and brown trout. It is common to get trout and char between 60 and 70cm.
