Salmon fishing in Iceland 2019

We are very optimistic for the salmon season in Iceland 2019. The salmon fishing in Northern Iceland was slower the last two years than the previous years but we have had incredibly good conditions for the smolts and are measuring more smolt in the river that before and if the...

We are taking bookings for 2019

Now that the 2018 fishing season is over we have started taking booking for 2019. The 2018 season was overall a great success with although we would have preferred a little stronger salmon runs over prime time.

Salmon fishing and Northern lights.

We are booking trips every day now as the season is getting closer, but don’t worry we still have availability on our rivers.   If you staying with us in the Mýrarkvísl lodge late August or September you might be lucky enough to get to enjoy the Northern lights from...

More from our successful day tours!

Still fishing well in our spring fishing day tours, on the Mýrarkvísl, Laxá in Aðaldal and the Sandá. The snow is melting slowly into the rivers so we have not seen any spring flooding. Here are a few photos from the day tours the last few days.

Season has been great so far!

Although the fishing season formally starts on the 1st of April April is still considered offseason fishing as you can expect any weather but what most people do not know is that April and May is a great time for huge brown trout that tend to be harder to catch during the summer....
