The river is 8 km long and accommodates 3 rods. The Deildara river has a prolific run of grilse typically towards the end of July or early August and good run of Salmon throughout the season.
The generous numbers of Salmon caught throughout the season, sea run arctic char are not uncommon as well as brown trout up 5lb. The river consists of three beats on a daily rotation with vehicle access to each beat. An ideal 3-day fishing trip for a few mates or a family looking to get lost in Iceland’s beautiful wilderness.
