Langavatn is relatively large lake on Icelandic standard and is situated on Reykjaheiði. The river has a healthy stock of small arctic char along with good size brown trout. The fishing for arctic char in the lake can be an unbelievable as anglers can catch up to 20-30 char in a session along with a few brown trout. The best fishing for arctic char is often where the small river Geitafellsá runs into the lake and in the later half of the summer the char from the lake run into the small river for spawning. We offer day tours to lake Langavatn.
Like in most lakes in Iceland you are allowed to use fly, spinning or bait.
