River Reykjadalsá a great new option for 2017

Reykjadals-1
We are always looking towards more rivers in Northern Iceland to meet the increased requests every year for good quality brown trout and salmon fishing.  We are proud to announce that we have gained access Reykjadalsá which is one of the best brown trout rivers in Iceland and also has a healthy stock of Atlantic salmon running into it every summer. The average catch rate is about 3000 brown trout and about 160 salmon each year.

The Reykjadalsá is one of the tributaries of the Laxá in Aðaldal so it fits right into the selection of rivers and beats we have in the area. The Reykjadalsá allows 6 rods per day and has a newly built lodge to accommodate our anglers. We have gained exclusive access to June July and August days on this wonderful river through a partnership. In june and the first part of July the brown trout fishing is amazing at times and especially with dry flies while from the middle of july the chance of catching a salmon increase until the peak of the run around in the beginning of August.

We have already starting taking orders for 2017 both as stand alone hosted weeks through our partners but also as a combo with Lónsá or Laxá in Aðaldal.
