Holaa

Is a nice little river between Apavatn and Laugarvatn. This is a good char and trout river especially over the high summer when the fish cools off in the river when the lakes are getting to hot.
Here upstream nymphing is the weapon of chose for the char but the trout is often caught on streamers. The fish is from 1 pound up to 6 pounds most common size is around 1-2 pound the char is an excellent fighter and tastes fantastic.
This is an ideal option for anglers that want to experience char fishing in fantastic surroundings with the Volcano Hekla in the background.

Access to the river:

Is easy and no 4x4 needed, the river is 5 minutes from Laugarvatn which is a small town.
